The Work
I work with people who have complicated histories, who often feel like too much or not enough for the people around them, who minimize what they're going through, or who want to understand themselves more fully. Many of my clients have been in therapy before and are looking for something that goes deeper this time.
I enjoy and have experience working with clients navigating:
- Developmental and attachment trauma
- Recurring patterns in relationships
- Personality disorders
- Substance use and recovery
- Psychotic experiences, when there is some stability and motivation to engage in reflective work
My Approach:
I'm adaptive and curious, paying close attention to patterns, to what happens between us in the room, and to how your history shows up in the present. Real understanding, the kind that's felt and not just thought, tends to open up new ways of responding.
Relational: The therapeutic relationship is one of the main forces of understanding and change.
Psychodynamic: So much of what drives us lies outside our awareness. As that understanding grows, so does our ability to find new ways of being.
I offer longer-term therapy focused on meaningful and lasting change.
For Providers:
I enjoy collaborative care and welcome referrals for clients who need more than brief or structured treatment. Please reach out if you would like to discuss the appropriateness of a referral.
